It's no real secret the website isn't very up to date anymore. Shortly after Warhammer launched I started class and the time I have to put in this year is much higher than I anticipated (4th year Mechanical Engineering). The couple hours a week when I do have a break I've been playing Warhammer of course!
I'm looking to enlist a few brave souls to help get CWH back on track and keep it up to date. Posting News and updating content are my main goals but you will have freedom to do whatever you would like to help make CWH a great community site again. Possible compensation could be worked out if you are interested.
HTML knowledge is a bonus but not required for posting news. Please contact me via forum PM or email ahamix (at) gmail.com.

The WAR Host Marches

Our wait is almost over! Tomorrow (Sunday)
everyone that pre-ordered the collector's edition will be able to log
in and start playing live! Tuesday the standard edition pre-order's get
in, and Thursday retail. Live Game Headstart Dates. To start playing you will need to have entered all your codes at Mythic's Account Center
and also have the Open Beta client. Make sure you still go pick up your
box Thursday, you will need to enter a retail code later or you will be
locked out late this week or next.
A few servers are coming up on Sunday for CE people and another
batch are coming up Tuesday for SE people. The server names are
rule-set are different that what we see currently in the Open Beta. A
full list is posted on the forum at the link below.

A week from today we will all be going mad with launch day fever! I haven't been updating much so this is just to let you know I'm still here. Open beta is going on and I hope everyone is having fun with that. Also make sure you and your friends talk about what server you are going to play on before next Monday! My Engineering co-op just finished this week and school starts in two weeks. On top of that I have been trying to get every project that would possibly eat up some WAR time finished so I have been swamped. I'll try to put a big update up this weekend as we prepare for Monday, until then I'll continue trying to empty my "To Do" list!

Gamestop Open Beta / Release Date Slip?

This is a good one because it smells like an accident. This article
over at Ten Ton Hammer reports that Gamestop updated their Collector's
Edition pre-order bonuses, this it what Ten Ton Hammer is reporting WAS
there.
"Reserve Warhammer Online: Age of Reckoning and receive:
Open Beta Access: Be one of the first players to experience the
glory of battle and the thrill of WAR! Open Beta will run from
September 3, 2008 at 10am EST until September 12, 2008 at 10am EST. The
Open Beta will level capped and content restricted.
Live Game Head Start: Reserve customers will get a 3-day head start
on the battlefields of WAR. The Live Game Head Start begins on
September 15, 2008 at 10am EST. "
As you can see Gamestop's page doesn't reflect this anymore. Seems a little soon not to know anything about it though right? Maybe not.

We're pleased to announce the current minimum system requirements to run WAR at launch.
We will continue to optimize WAR as we move closer to launch and even
beyond but these will provide you with a very accurate idea of what is
needed in order to play the game.
So without further adieu the minimum specs for Warhammer Online: Age of Reckoning:
PC SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS
For Windows XP
· 2.5 GHz P4 (single core) processor or equivalent
· 1 Gigabyte RAM
· A 128 MB Video Card, with support for Pixel Shader 2.0
· At least 15 GB of hard drive space
For Windows VISTA
· 2.5 GHz P4 processor or equivalent

EA's official website has posted a release date. Check it out here
It says September 23rd but nothing has been announced. My advice is
don't take any days (or weeks) off work yet, just don't schedule
anything around that time.
