A Look at Tier III Keeps PDF Print E-mail
Written by Jaga

Tier III Open-World RvR in WAR is fundamentally the same as Tier II, with multiple Battlefield Objectives and Keeps as strategic points of interest and territory to capture. The keeps are what you might expect to see for each realm, in terms of architecture and layout. However that is where the similarities end..

Both Battlefield Objectives and Keeps in Tier III cover much larger territory, and have a larger set of fortifications to overcome (or defend). The Well of Qhaysh, featured in this article, is a large Elven Tier III keep which boasts a set of massive outer walls, a large front gate with a bottlenecked tunnel behind it, and a large number of defensive pads on both outer and inner fortifications. Properly defended, a keep this size could take hours to capture, or require a hundred or more players as an offensive force.

The screenshots here display a view of the outer wall from the inside, a view of the large inner fortification, and a large sweeping view of the overall keep from that fortification.
