Tier III Open-World RvR in WAR is fundamentally the same as Tier II, with multiple Battlefield Objectives and Keeps as strategic points of interest and territory to capture. The keeps are what you might expect to see for each realm, in terms of architecture and layout. However that is where the similarities end..

The Arcane Order met as a group for the first time in WAR this last Sunday, the 28th of September. Despite having some in-game calendaring issues, the meeting was a big success! Many members were elsewhere - watching football, visiting with family, etc.. but a good chunk of our nearly 100 members were able to make it.

Congratulations to the guild on hitting level 10 today! Along with the achievement comes a very nice surprise.. I sat down with Shattered and Severyn, and we had the honor of designing the guild's heraldry - the crest, colors and design by which we will be known evermore throughout WAR. It is only partially visible right now (on our guild standard), and won't be available on guild cloaks until guild level 15, but as you can see from the image to the left it is a visual feast for the eyes.

This is a huge milestone for the guild, still having less than 80 members at this time. Several other large guilds just acquired their heraldry today, and one of them is nearly twice our size. That says a lot about our dedication and effort to support the realm. I am pleased to say I firmly believe we have nothing but quality players in our midst, and I'm really looking forward to all the great moments ahead of us!

TAO geared up for another bit of RvR last night, and in the process of both successfully defending Mandred's Hold and retaking more than one Objective - TAO then decided to take the enemy stronghold. Not having done this as a group before, and only having 15-18 people available made it a real challenge and a learning experience, but in the end we were triumphant. Stonetroll Keep was in the hands of Order.

In the process of taking our new property and evicting the old residents, TAO managed to make a few new friends and bring them on board as full fledged members. All in all it was another highly successful night, that shows we have the right stuff to do what needs to be done. I can't wait until we hit the right guild rank, and are able to claim a keep for ourselves!

Last night a bunch of TAO members (15+) formed up a Warband and decided to take back several objectives Destruction had captured, while also defending our keep at Mandred's Hold.  Not only did we take those Objectives back in a very short time, but during the take of The Monestary of Morr, destruction decided to attack back!  Having just cleared the Monestary of hostile defenders, we turned and engaged the charging horde.. and sent them packing!

The entire evening was a huge success for the guild from an RvR standpoint, and we represented ourselves in a tremendously admirable fashion.  I could not be more proud of what we achieved, and am truly looking forward to more of this..  along with capturing a keep for ourselves!

Just last night several TAO members gathered up to take on one of the Dark Lords in the Elven lands (Chapter 7 PQ). With the addition of some great pulling fron Scing using our new Standard, Healhit tossing around some great heals, two Bright Wizards tossing AOEs about, and several support members to help with protection and adds.. TAO fairly well wiped the floor with the area. Scing actually could not pull enough for us to kill, even with 20+ at once, which made me really proud of the group as a whole.

When we reached the point where Lord Khirareq was enticed from his abode, the tables changed considerably. He is a foe of considerable power, and despite holding our own against him for over five minutes straight, it was eventually a standoff and he retreated in the end.

Kudos to a team that works so well together, I hope to see many more of these from any and all TAO members in the future. Cheers!

On the first day of Headstart for WAR, barely 3 hours into our quest against the forces of Destruction.. The Arcane Order was assembled and our ranks solidified! A great big hearty thank you to those that were able to make it and set our feet in the stone. Another thank you to Shattered, who actually remembered in all the excitement to take a screenshot for us!

It is also worth noting that we were able to form an Alliance with another Order guild in the process, by swapping members to help both guilds form up! As soon as TAO and Draconis are both at a sufficient rank to enter into Alliances, we'll have our first one. Cheers!

WAAAGH!!! Things have shifted a bit but in the end you get more WAR! Early tomorrow morning Open Beta will end as we shut down all servers and prepare for the coming of the Collectors Edition Head Start. We encourage you to take this time to sleep, eat, say hell to your friends and family, feed the pets, etc. and get ready for launch as the CE Head Start kicks off tomorrow (Sunday 9/14) @ 1PM EDT! Tomorrow afternoon the Age of Reckoning will arrive, will you be ready? We will see you all on the battlefield very soon...to WAR!
